At the French-style event, it was possible to meet actresses Justė Zinkevičiūtė and Aušra Štukytė, project manager Veronika Montvydienė, vocal and piano teacher Diana Dargienė, opera soloist Marija Dūdaitė and others. Guests were encouraged to bring their mothers, grandmothers or daughters to the L’Occitane salon on Gediminas Avenue in the capital: everything revolved around the upcoming Mother’s Day. The participants of the event not only shared their thoughts about this holiday, but also got acquainted with the new spring collection “Herbare. Iris Pallide’ and also participated in a bingo game.

“Daughter Unė and son Matas usually surprise me with breakfast on Mother’s Day morning since they were little. And they are always special, inventive and absolutely delicious”, said vocal and piano teacher D. Dargienė with a smile. – Next to the festive breakfast, performances with songs and dances are a must. These are probably the sweetest and most beautiful memories, which sincerely make my heart happy as a mother.”

According to Diana, their family does not have any special traditions on Mother’s Day. Picnics in nature or rides together on bicycles and rollerblades are common for them almost every weekend. “Saturday and Sunday are family days for us, so we must spend them together. On Mother’s Day – as well”, remarked D. Dargienė. And she would first of all like to wish health to all Lithuanian mothers: “Be loved and loving, caring, sensitive, able to comfort and forgive, welcome and expectant. May only the best memories always visit you. And that’s where everyone you’re waiting for always comes home…”

Project manager V. Montvydienė always visits her mother during this holiday. That day, Veronika hands her a bouquet of the most beautiful flowers, and has a heart-to-heart talk with her mother over a cup of coffee. “Sometimes my brother and I organize something together. However, we noticed that the mother prefers to receive attention from each child separately. “Mother’s Day is flowers, attention and a warm conversation,” the well-known woman is convinced.

V. Montvydienė appeared with her daughter Adele at the L’Occitane event. She noticed that Mother’s Day is very important to Adele and Kaja since they were little. “They never forget to give me flowers, draw me a beautiful card. They often take care of culinary improvisations themselves: be it a dessert or just a delicious breakfast, which they prepare themselves and even bring to my bed. I always feel honored and rewarded during this holiday,” said Veronika about her family’s traditions.

Opera soloist Marija Dūdaitė visited the event with the daughter of her sister, pianist Ieva Dūdaitė. “First of all, my sister and I always try to reward our mother with love and attention, not forgetting to thank her for life lessons and life given to us. We have always believed that the greatest gifts are hidden even in small things, such as being around and spending time with friends, so we usually want to spend this day together traditionally – if we can, we go to Kaunas to congratulate our mother and grandmother. We dine together, chat, celebrate. And this year is special for our family: I, the youngest lady in the family, will join the status of a mother soon enough,” said M. Dūdaitė cheerfully. According to Maria, her mother even likes to joke that she does not need to buy body spray or perfume in her life, because her daughters take care of these products.
