Aldona Grigaitienė, a member of the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union, an active member of the Lithuanian Rifle Association, a member of the TS-LKD Kaunas branch of the Christian Democratic Community, and a former participant of Maria’s radio shows, left for the Lord’s house before Easter.
The deceased was born in 1945. In Ukmergė district, Kurėnai in a large family. Aldutė’s parents raised their children in accordance with the principles of Christian morality and encouraged them to pursue education. After graduating from Vilnius University’s Faculty of Economics, she worked in the field of finance. After creating a family, she settled in Kaunas. He raised a daughter and a son in a harmonious family. After the death of her husband, she actively joined social activities, was interested in the history of Lithuania, liked to travel around Lithuania. Here, she was greatly influenced by Zigmas Tamakauskas, a participant in the Lithuanian freedom struggle, an organizer of sightseeing trips around Lithuania, and a lecturer, who later became her fiance and a sincere friend. With him, Aldutė followed the path of Faith, Love and Hope until the end of her life, nurturing and spreading Christian national values and love for her Motherland – Lithuania.
Everyone knew Aldutė as a sincere, cheerful, dutiful, energetic and active woman. For her public activities, Aldona Grigaitienė was awarded a medal of the Kaunas branch of the Lithuanian Movement, letters of thanks from public organizations.
In the hospital, priest Monsignor Augustinas Paulauskas and priest Rimantas Baltrušaitis prayed by the bed of seriously ill Aldutė together with her fiance.
St. In the armory hall of the parish of Kazimierz Church, Aldutė, a shooter of the 2nd Culture and Art Detachment of the LŠS Vytautas the Great Riflemen, who died at her coffin, decorated with bouquets of white flowers and wreaths, was honored by the Guard of Honor of the shooters, led by the commander of the selection, Juozas Klimkevičius. The delegations of Christian Democrats and LPKTS of Kaunas branch of TS-LKD also paid their respects to her.
The deceased was beautifully escorted to the Seniava cemetery in Kaunas by St. Canon Valius Zubavičius, pastor of Kazimierz Church, relatives, singers and a large group of people. Canon Valius Zubavičius, Major Gediminas Reutas, LLKS chief of staff, Raimundas Kaminskas, chairman of the Kaunas branch of the Lithuanian Movement, and family friend Dr. Modestas Juozaitis gave touching speeches at the grave.
We express our sincere condolences on the death of Aldutė to her fiance, ideological comrade, shooter – Deputy Chief of Staff of the Lithuanian Freedom Fighter Movement Zigmas Tamakauskas and relatives. May Aldute’s abode of the Lord’s house be bright.
