The US Congress passed the Government Financing Act, which included 228 million security assistance to the Baltic countries (BSI), a third of this amount will be allocated to Lithuania. US support is allocated to strengthening the critical capabilities of the Lithuanian military – air defense, maritime environment monitoring, ammunition, regional long-range artillery capability.
“The USA is a strategic partner of Lithuania and one of the main allies ensuring the security of the Baltic region. The Americans are extremely active in the implementation of security measures in the Baltic countries, strengthening the security and stability of the region,” said Minister of National Defense Laurynas Kasčiūnas.
