On March 28, the concert of the Russian artist Valerijaus Meladze will be held at the “Avia solutions group” arena in Vilnius. After it turned out that after the war in Ukraine, the singer entertained the audience in Russia more than once, a scandal arose – after all, more than one artist who supports this country is banned from performing in Lithuania.

However, the organizers did not even consider canceling this show. “Delfi” asked the audience gathered for V. Meladze’s concert in one of the largest arenas, how they would react to the proposal to completely ban Russian concerts in Lithuania and whether, by purchasing a ticket to a concert by an artist of dubious reputation, they do not feel as if they are supporting an aggressor country with their own funds.
Protesters standing at the main door with placards brought smiles to the many fans of V. Meladze who were waiting in line. They pulled out their mobile phones and took pictures of the protestors.
The leader of the protest, Delfi, was the first to agree to comment on the situation. “The business that organizes this cynically does not take into account the opinion of the majority of the Lithuanian population. It has already happened that probably no one knows how to protest on the street anymore, and it doesn’t work from the sofas”, said the public figure who oversaw the protest procedure and defended the position.
