Council information: municipal bonuses for students who promote the name of Alytus district

With the approval of the council, from now on general education students will be awarded municipal bonuses for their academic achievements. “It is extremely important to evaluate and promote students’ progress and learning motivation, to encourage the pursuit of excellent learning results,” said mayor Rasa Vitkauskienė.

For each graduate with 100 points in the state matriculation exam, a 250-euro bonus will be awarded, and those who have received matriculation certificates with honors will receive a monetary bonus of 200 euros.

The municipality will also award cash prizes to students who have won first to third place in Olympiads and competitions. Depending on the place taken, the student will receive between 100 and 200 euros if winning at national level. How much more – 150 to 300 euros – if the win is international.

Student teams participating in the Lithuanian school games and taking the first to third places will also receive bonuses. A student team consisting of 2-6 schoolchildren who won a prize place in the country will receive from 150 to 300 euros, and those who won laurels abroad will receive from 250 to 400 euros. A team consisting of 7 or more students will receive bonuses of 200 to 400 euros and 250 to 450 euros, respectively.

Schoolchildren who won prizes in district stages of Olympiads and competitions will also be awarded. They will be given thanks and souvenirs.
