About 3 o’clock 38 min. on the 80th km of the main road Vilnius-Klaipėda, near Užtakų village, a car “Lexus RX450h”, driven by a man (born in 1967), left the road and overturned, reports the Police Department.
A woman (born in 1940) who was driving a car was killed in a traffic accident.
Since people may have been trapped in the car that overturned on the roof, firefighters were called to the scene.
When the firefighters arrived, the car was lying on the side of the road on its roof. One passenger had fallen out of the car without signs of life. Doctors declared her dead.
Three more people got out of the car by themselves. They were examined by doctors.
Firefighters disconnected the battery and high voltage switch of the Lexus RX450h.
Police officers are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
