Partizan club from Belgrade failed to reach the finals in the Adriatic championship.

Željko Obradović’s students are away in the second match of the semi-final series 73:74 (23:20, 17:16, 17:26, 16:12) fell against Budučnost from Podgorica.

After giving up the initiative in the third quarter, “Partizan” trailed 69:74 with a minute left. Then Kevin Punter managed to score, and after defending Aleksa Avramović threw free throws. Kenan Kamenjaš missed both penalties, but A. Avramović’s shot, which could have been the winner, did not reach the goal.

The result of the series up to two victories became equal – 1:1.

The Belgrade club was led by K. Punter throughout the match – 27 minutes, 17 points (5/8 double-pointers, 1/7 three-pointers, 4/6 free throws), 4 rebounds and 2 lost balls, 2 assists, 3 fouls and 13 utility points.

PJDozier added 10 points, A. Avramović and James Nunnally added 8 each.

For the winners, Yogi Ferrell scored 13 points (0/6 three-pointers), 12 – K. Kamenjaš (6 rebounds), 11 – Nikola Tanasković (5/6 two-pointers), 10 – Fletcher Magee (3/5 three-pointers).

Both teams shot less than 20 percent from three-pointers (4/22 and 3/19), and Partizan did not triumph even after winning the battle for possessions 35-26 and outscoring the opponents 83-62 in efficiency points.

The decisive third match of the series will take place in Belgrade on Friday (May 10).
