The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Lithuania informs about in accordance with Article 23, Part 2 and Article 30, Part 2 of the Law on Territorial Planning of the Republic of Lithuania, Article 42, Part 1 of the Law on Electronic Communications and taking into account the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania of 2023 June 21 resolution no. 471 “Regarding the recognition of the project for the development of 5G mobile communication in the Republic of Lithuania as an important project for the state”, prepared,
Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania “On the start of preparation of special plans for the development of electronic communications infrastructure and determination of planning objectives” the project (hereinafter – Draft Resolution).
Planning objectives:
– in the planned territories, determine the priority directions for the development of communication towers and masts and the infrastructure necessary for their functioning (giving priority to 5G communication) and ensure the harmonious development of communication towers and masts;
– to provide the territories necessary for the development of communication towers and masts and the infrastructure necessary for their functioning;
– determine the use, management, protection measures and other requirements of the planned territory and, if necessary, adjacent territories.
