After the Briton’s performance, social networks were flooded with messages from disappointed fans – fans of the competition who had high hopes criticized not only the artist’s show, but also his vocals.

The singer performed the song “Dizzy” surrounded by shirtless dancers. With the help of special effects, it seemed that Alexander and his dancers were spinning around and walking on the ceiling.

While there were fans who liked the song and enjoyed the expressive staging, others found Alexander’s vocals a bit weak and his singing timid.

“Well, Olly’s vocals were a little off in places, but the staging was great. What an end,” a Eurovision fan wrote on social networks.

“I don’t know if Olly was too excited or nervous, but his vocals were very slurred. I just hope the over-the-top staging doesn’t distract too much from his vocals,” added another.

“Even though I’m from Britain, Olly’s vocals were timid and I didn’t like the stage presence. I was hoping for a better vocal from Olly tonight,” it was written on social networks.

“Given the quality of the semi-final I think Olly should take sick leave on Saturday. Maybe we’ll just say that Olly is “saving his vote” for Saturday.

That vocal was disgusting, timid and breathless, I hope it will be better in the finale”, – criticism was not spared on the Internet.

Lithuanians also expressed their opinion about the performance of the United Kingdom. They also did not spare criticism for the artist on the social network Facebook.

“Don’t stretch Olly on this song. The UK is facing a similar fate to last year. Someone else is criticizing Silvestro’s vocals,” wrote a Lithuanian in the Eurovision 2024 group.

“It’s hard to even fathom that he was the frontman of Years & Years, apparently he never sang live,” added another.
