Netizens marveled at the similarity between the two costumes.

Saw similarities

Observations began to spread in the public space that the red suit worn by Silvester Belt during the semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest is very similar to the work of the famous Lithuanian designer Juoz Statkevičius.

People began to discuss whether Silvester Belt’s stylistic team would not be “inspired” by the designer’s last year’s collection, which was held at the Litexpo exhibition and convention center at the time, and was intended for the spring and summer of 2023.

The suits were united by a similar cut of the suit and a distinct red color that was hard not to draw attention to.

News portal tv3.lt contacted designer Juoz Statkevičius. He refrained from commenting, but added that it is painful to see such a similarity without his own hearing: “It is very similar and it is obvious that he got inspiration from my show. But it’s strange that they don’t apply, but do it one-on-one.”

Silvester Belt stylist Vainots Jakšt was also contacted to comment on the situation. After he answers, we will supplement the publication.
