One of them is accused of leading an attack on a business. He is suspected of trying to recruit people to help a foreign intelligence service, fraud. He was also charged with aggravated arson in court last Saturday.

According to the BBC, the man is “suspected of taking part in activities targeting companies linked to Ukraine to benefit the Russian state”.

According to officials, the suspected activities included participation in planning to set fire to the commercial premises of a Ukrainian-related company.

Three other suspects in connection with the fire were arrested on other charges. One of them, according to the BBC, is 22-year-old Dmitrijus Paulauska. He was allegedly accused of not disclosing information about terrorist acts to the police. According to the 2000 Under the Terrorism Act, it is a crime.

Two other men have been charged with one count of aggravated arson, but are not suspected of any national security offences.

The investigation relates to a fire at an industrial estate in Leyton in March, which prosecutors say was caused by petrol.

The charges do not say who owns the companies whose property was damaged.
