“A bone marrow biopsy was done today, the results are not there yet, but we spoke to the doctor and we already have the results of yesterday’s tests. From the beginning, nothing has changed, the diagnosis is the same, but it made me sad that this disease is already advanced and I have the fourth stage of lymphoma”, informed Indrė Burlinskaitė.

We remind you that on Thursday, the star of social networks and sports coach, accompanied by her husband Liudas Vaisietas, went to Kaunas clinics again – the treatment will start soon. In the afternoon, I. Burlinskaitė greeted her Instagram followers from the ward and told how she was feeling.

“Greetings to you from Kaunas clinics. I’m lying now in such a small room, I’ve just been injected with radioactive material and I’m waiting for them to take me away. We’re going to do some research. Nothing very scary or unpleasant awaits me today, so I’m going to lie down. I’m not afraid of anything today. I just don’t feel like this, I don’t even talk.

I’m a little weak, lacking strength, so I’m looking forward to the treatment, no matter how difficult it is. The sooner it starts, the sooner it will end,” shared I. Burlinskaitė.

Indre announced the diagnosis of blood cancer on Wednesday evening, addressing her followers in Instagram stories.

“Hello to everyone who follows me and waits for news from me. Today we are packing a little at a time. Thank God, Liudas will ride with me. We are planning to go to Kaunas clinics tomorrow, where I will undergo very important and detailed tests, but basically the diagnosis is already clear to me. Today the doctor confirmed for me and no matter how much I wish, nothing will change. For some reason, life chose me. Why, I don’t know. It seems that all the time I was healthy, strong, promoted a healthy lifestyle, but then one day, a fight is sent to me.

Indeed, we often hear about various disasters, terrible tragedies, diseases, but it seems that thoughts naturally block the fact that this cannot happen to you, this will never happen. I thought that this would never happen to me and this news was like a bolt from the blue.

I have been diagnosed with blood cancer, a malignant tumor in the mediastinum, which is even 8 centimeters in size, it has spread. How widespread it is, we will find out in the near future after tomorrow’s detailed investigation.

True, I had a week to get used to it, because the initial diagnosis was received a week ago after the response of the CT scan. As I remember now, I was having my nails done by my doctor Jurgas and I read in e.svejkata that I had a tumor, so at that moment I thought I was going to faint. Then, little by little, I tried to accept this thought, because I knew that it would not be otherwise. He just appeared and I have no choice but to fight and defeat him.

I don’t know yet what my treatment will be, but that journey will start on Friday – putting me in the hospital. I don’t know my path yet, but I imagine that there is a lot waiting for me. And all the time, the most important thing is that a close person is nearby”, I. Burlinskaitė-Vaisieta shared on her personal account.
