Vilnius “Wolves” on April 20. will play the match with Pasvalis “Pieno žvajdaždinis” in Prienai. This meeting was previously planned by the capital club in Alytus.

Great news for the residents of Prienai – Vilnius Wolves, who currently occupy the third place in the standings, will play one LKL match in their city. Basketball fans are already invited to buy tickets to the Prienai Arena on April 20. the upcoming wolf duel with Pasval’s “Milk Stars”.

“Wolves” planned to play this match in Alytus, thanking the fans of this city for the team’s support during the club’s debut season. However, due to problems with the parquet, which no longer meets the requirements of the Lithuanian basketball level, it is no longer possible to play them in the basketball hall of the Dzūkija capital’s sports and recreation center.

“It’s a pity that we can’t see our fans again in Alytus,” commented club director Andrius Žiauberis. – However, we hope to meet them in Prienai, the distance to which is not long. At the same time, we have no doubt that the people of Prienai also miss the highest level of basketball, whom we kindly invite to the arena to support our team, reminding that one of our coaches, Marius Leonavičius, was born, grew up and worked in Prienai for a long time.”

Coach Marius Leonavičius will not be the only familiar face in the match. Almost all Wolves’ Lithuanian basketball players have worn the shirts of this city’s team: captain Regimantas Miniotas, Eigirdas Žukauskas, Vitalijs Kozys, Kristupas Žemaitis and Arnas Beručka.

This season, the Vilnius club once chose Kėdainiai Arena for home matches.
