The Estonian footballers did not take advantage of the chance they had, losing 1:5 to the Polish national team in Warsaw.

The Estonians, who reached this stage during the UEFA Nations League Division D, were beaten by goals from Przemyslaw Frankowski (22 min.), Piotr Zielinski (50 min.), Jakub Piotrowski (70 min.) and Sebastien Szymanski (76 min.), and in the 73rd 1 minute Karolis Mets scored himself.

Martin Vetkal scored a consolation goal for Estonia in the 78th minute.

Poland’s footballers will fight for a ticket to the European Championship against Wales, who crushed Finland 4-1 at home on Thursday.

In the next pair, the national teams of Ukraine and Iceland will meet.

The Ukrainians made a particularly impressive save, defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina 2:1 on the road.

Bosnia took the lead after Mykola Matvijenko’s own goal (56 minutes), but substitute Roman Jaremčiuk equalized the score in the 85th minute, and three minutes later assisted Artiom Dovbyk’s winning goal.

Iceland was also the first to lose, but in the end they even beat the Israeli team 4:1 away from home.

The third ticket to “Euro 2024” will be distributed between the national teams of Greece and Sakartvelo.

The Greeks beat Kazakhstan 5-0 at home, and the Georgians beat Luxembourg 2-0 at home.

The decisive battles for tickets to the European Championship will take place on March 26, Tuesday. After them, all 24 national teams fighting for the title of continental champions in the summer will be clear.
