In the NCAA March Madness, Wildcats represented by Motiejas Krivos and Paulius Murauskas defeated Beach 85:65. Petras Padegimas and the Dayton Flyers overcame the Wolf Pack barrier 63:60.

“March Madness” started in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and three Lithuanians advanced to the next stage: Motiejus Krivas, Paulius Murauskas and Petras Padegimas.

Krivo and Murausko are represented by the Arizona Wildcats in the first round 85:65 (41:35, 44:30) eliminated Long Beach State University Beach.

Krivas missed a two-pointer, rebounded 3 balls and collected 3 fouls in 8 minutes. Murauskas, who played for 2 minutes, did not record anything in the statistical protocol.

The winners were led by Kylan Boswell, who collected 20 points (4/10 doubles, 4/9 triples), 8 assists and 3 rebounds in 32 minutes.

The Dayton “Flyers” represented by Padigimo also reached the second stage 63:60 (25:34, 38:26) broke the Nevada Wolf Pack.

In 8 minutes, the team missed a two-pointer, rebounded 1 ball and fouled twice.

For the winners, Daron Holmes scored 18 points (5/7 doubles, 0/1 triples, 8/9 penalties), 9 rebounds and 1 assist in 32 minutes.

In the second round, these three Lithuanian clubs will meet face to face. The Wildcats and Flyers are scheduled for Friday night.

Two more Lithuanians are waiting to start in “March Madness”: Augustas Marčiulionis (Saint Mary’s Gaels) and Kajus Kublickas (Florida “Gators”).
