The day will be cloudy in the country: the morning will be gloomy, but later the sky will become increasingly clear. At the beginning of the day, short, light rain is still expected in places, mainly in the eastern and southern districts. A strong south-west wind will blow, in some places its gusts will accelerate to 15-17 m/s. The highest temperature during the day will reach 10-15 degrees Celsius, the warmest will be in the southwest of the country.
Clouds will increase again on Saturday night as an atmospheric front driven by a small cyclone moves through our country. In places, more likely closer to the sea and in northern areas, it will rain briefly again. The wind will blow mainly from the south at night and will be moderate. The temperature will drop to 3-8 degrees Celsius, it will be cooler in Žemaitia.
On Saturday, as the atmospheric front moves away, the sun will increase again, significant rain is no longer expected. The wind will be changing direction, moderate. The long-awaited heat wave will reach Lithuania from the south-west, so the temperature will jump up to 15-20 degrees Celsius throughout the country, it will be cooler only in the Curonian Spit.
Easter is expected to be quite starry and dry. A light south-easterly wind will blow. The lowest temperature will be 5-10 degrees Celsius – until recently it was so warm during the day.
Easter morning should be relatively sunny, but as the day progresses, and especially in the afternoon hours, cumulus clouds will increase. Somewhere, more likely in the western and central regions, it will rain for a short time, there may even be a thunderstorm. The wind will blow from the southeast, the south, it will be cloudy. The temperature in the country will rise even higher, up to 18-23 degrees Celsius. In the shade! Many parts of the country are likely to experience record-breaking heat today.
The very warm weather promises to last on Monday, the second day of St. Easter day. The temperature will not fall below 4-9 degrees at night, and will rise again to 17-22 degrees during the day. Although strong southerly winds will mix the air in the lowland, we will likely set heat records again.
On Tuesday, the Atlantic cyclone should reach Lithuania from the west, which will bring a lot of rain and cooling of the weather.
