It disappeared from the menu because it is fat

Alytus Šv. In Benedikt’s gymnasium – an uprising. Almost all the high school students rebelled against the recently introduced order of feeding them zeppelins without cracker sauce.

All students and teachers want crackers, I don’t understand why they disappeared,” the high school student complained.

It’s absolutely delicious even without crackers, our women make a very tasty sauce for zeppelins, I didn’t miss them, I don’t know why those children emphasize crackers so much, I don’t think there’s a problem here,” wondered Lina Kankevičienė, deputy director of the high school.

Some call it a mockery of Zeppelins, because it is the heritage of Lithuanian cuisine.

They disappeared last week, on Thursday, we came to eat zeppelins with crackers, as always, and they disappeared. They have been missing for two weeks, yesterday we asked if the crackers would be returned, they said: no, it’s not healthy”, said the student.

After all, it is clear to every old and young, schoolboy and student that the combination of zeppelins with crackers and lard dripping down the chin is a recipe known to every Dzuk, Suvalki, Aukštai or Žemai from childhood.

It is absurd to forbid students to eat zeppelins with crackers, because we eat them at home too,” said the high school student.

Daiva Vaškelytė, a specialist at the Alytus Public Health Center, decided to introduce an embargo on crackers on zeppelins, because crackers are fat, and fat is fattening, produces bad cholesterol and is harmful to both the old and young body.

At the school, students’ meals are served in accordance with the procedure description, which includes a list of prohibited products and includes sauces with crackers,” he explained. D. Vaškelytė.

He does not promise to return the crackers

Zeppelins Alytus St. Benedict’s Gymnasium will not go away, they will continue to be served once a week on Thursdays and will be served with a different sauce. I’m not fat. Because it is healthier. Because young people in educational institutions need to be taught not only mathematics, but also healthy nutrition.

I really agree with that description of the procedure, because it is health-saving and contributes to the promotion of a healthy diet for students, because every year the number of students who are overweight or obese is increasing,” she taught. specialist.

However, high school students are encouraged to consider their nutritional interests. Because eating zeppelins without crackers is the same as coming to physical education classes in jeans.

We are really looking forward to Thursday, because that’s when there are zeppelins, and when there are crackers, it’s a holiday after all,” the schoolboy admitted.

Deputy director of the gymnasium, L. Kankevičienė, returned the zeppelins does not promise, because the recommendations of health specialists are more important than children’s wishes to eat not quite healthy.

I didn’t see that they demanded, they didn’t contact me, and besides, they shouldn’t – there is a description of the procedure for organizing meals and you won’t change anything here, we have to follow it,” she assured.

Schoolchildren who are demanding zeppelins do not promise to give up easily. Signatures have already been collected on a petition demanding the right to vote.
