He reminds that Real Estate Cadastre data is used by various institutions and other persons, such as surveyors, municipalities, real estate agencies, designers or private individuals. For this reason, it is very important that the information on the map is current, complete and organized.

How do I check if my plot boundaries are accurate?

The simplest way to check whether the boundaries of the land plot are accurate is the REGIA map of the geoinformation environment created by the Center of Registers. In the menu bar to the right of the map, you just need to select “Properties” and “Plot Boundaries”.

After finding a specific plot of land according to its coordinates or address, the borders of the plot of land will be marked with one of three colors. Plot boundaries determined by cadastral measurements are marked with green (electric) color – such marking means that the plot boundaries are accurate and do not need to be revised. The boundaries of the plots are marked in yellow, determined by preliminary measurements that were made relatively long ago and should be corrected, because it is possible that the plot of land is drawn on the plan in the wrong place where it should be. Orange color indicates land parcels whose boundaries need to be adjusted.

“In many cases, when the boundaries of the land plot need to be adjusted, determined by preliminary measurements or not marked at all, the owner of the plot should contact the surveyor to update the plan of the land plot and prepare the data in such a way that they are suitable for registration in the Real Estate Cadastre,” advises the Center of Registers Director of register management K. Maksvytis.

According to the Register Center, more than 2.5 million properties are currently registered on the Real Estate Cadastre map. plots of land.
