A criminal case regarding negligent taking of life has been started in the Klaipėda district court
A criminal case was started in the Klaipėda District Chamber of the Klaipėda District Court, in which a woman from Klaipėda was not convicted.
According to the indictment, the accused was charged with the fact that, as a farmer, keeping cattle and behaving carelessly, she was obliged to ensure that the animals kept by her did not go outside the territory of the land where they were kept, did not pose a threat to the lives of people, other animals, or health or property, 2023 in November, when the electric herdsman was interrupted, her cattle – a bull – ran from the pasture located in the Klaipėda district to the homesteads belonging to AN, attacked and injured AN
A 79-year-old man died in an ambulance on the way to hospital.
The accused was charged with negligent taking of life (Criminal Code, Article 132, Paragraph 3). This crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to 8 years.
The trial in the case is scheduled for 2024. June 12 It is planned to invite witnesses to the trial.
