The prosecutor’s office submitted a criminal case to the court, in which the driver is accused of falsifying car travel documents and fraudulently using fuel worth 37.5 thousand for his own benefit. euros. As the prosecutor’s office informed on Friday, according to the case data, one driver of the S. Kudirka hospital in Alytus county is suspected of falsifying the travel documents of two ambulances and one car from January 2019 to September 2021.

A person who has worked in a hospital for 35 years has entered false data in the travel forms. The man named the missing routes and mileage, which did not correspond to the data of the GPS system installed in the car. In this way, the driver increased the vehicle’s fuel consumption, submitted forged travel documents to the accounting employee, who unsuspectingly wrote off the fuel without reason. The man acquired someone else’s high-value property – fuel, for more than 37.5 thousand. euros.

A former hospital employee has been charged with fraud and falsifying vehicle mileage. The previously unconvicted resident of the city of Alytus pleads not guilty to both crimes.
