The salary expected by those who want to work abroad has decreased

According to CVbankas.lt, those who want to work in the field of information technology expect the highest salaries – 3,353 euros before taxes (gross), employers are ready to pay them an average of 3,069 euros per month.

In second place are managers who would like 3,035 euros, and they are offered around 2,770 euros. In the third – energy specialists, who would reach an average gross salary of 2,977 euros, while they are offered 2,412 euros.

People who want to work in trade and consulting expect the lowest salary – 1,375 euros before taxes. They are offered an average salary of 1,154 euros per month in advertisements. Customer service, where 1,563 euros per month is expected and 1,397 euros is offered, and food production, where 1,644 euros are expected and 1,887 euros per month are among the three lowest desired salaries by job category.

T. Toleikis notices that the salaries desired by the candidates have increased by 8.5 percent since last year in Vilnius. and reached 2147 euros on average, in Kaunas – 11.6 percent. “The activity of citizens of foreign countries grew a little faster than that of Lithuanian citizens,” said T. Toleikis.

“It can be assumed that job seekers are returning to the labor market more actively. Because we have had stagnation since the pandemic period,” he explained.

According to him, the number of citizens from Ukraine and Belarus seeking employment is currently increasing, while the number of Russian citizens is decreasing. At that time, according to him, every 10 job seekers did not come from Ukraine, Belarus or Russia.

“Those who marked another citizenship have increased several times and they make up 8.4 percent. from all the candidates,” he asserted.

The activity of employers is also growing, which according to CVbankas.lt data increased by 1 percent in the first quarter. compared to the same period in 2023. and aimed at 2,312 employers.
