As reported by the Police Department, the 44-year-old victim was killed on Thursday at 11 a.m. 36 min., applied to the Chief Police Commissariat of Vilnius County.
He stated that nine days ago, on April 16, around 2-3 p.m., a man who introduced himself as a bank employee came to his house on Debesijas street in Antakalnis ward.
After fraudulently taking bank payment cards, the visitor cashed out about 70 thousand. euros.
The police have launched a pre-trial investigation into the large-scale fraud.
A person who has fraudulently acquired someone else’s property or property right of very high value for his own or others’ benefit, or has committed fraud while participating in an organized group, shall be punished by a fine or imprisonment for up to eight years.
