A hand grenade was found in Jonava on Thursday, the Fire Protection and Rescue Department (PAGD) reported.
According to PAGD, at 12 p.m. 23 minutes a report was received that an explosive was found in Jonava, Taurosta Street, plan “Shield” was introduced. Firefighters responded to the scene before deminers arrived and destroyed the wartime hand grenade at the scene.
Last day, it was also reported about the explosive found in Vilnius. 11 o’clock 59 min. informed that the “Shield” plan has been introduced on Kalvariju Street. When the deminers of the Juozas Vitkaus engineering battalion arrived, it was determined that the explosive was not dangerous.
