On April 18-21, almost the biggest competition in Lithuania was organized in Alytus. This is the European Junior League Championship (EYLCH), a qualifying competition in the northern region, the winners of which earned a ticket to the next round, which will be held in Serbia. The participants came from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

The format of the competition itself was also somewhat different from the usual team shooting competitions: first, the four athletes of the country are ranked according to their ability. After finding out the athlete’s level, each shooter is assigned a pair from another country that matches his abilities. After being given 15 minutes for trial shots, shooters shoot three bursts of ten shots each, but each burst is given 12 minutes. The athlete who collects the higher result of the pair wins, thus earning two points for the team. After three series, the points earned by the country’s representatives are added up and the winning team is announced.

In this competition, the team of judges was composed only of Lithuanians. The chief judge was Mantas Bakas, chief. the secretary – Justina Ramanauskaitė, the fire line judge – Mykolas Osencovas, and the fire line electronics judges Saulius Lukošius and Justinas Truncė.
