“Kaunas Maris Regional Park, the day after the long Easter weekend, is one of the most popular vacation spots. And this is what it looks like when no container is built. And the beasts eat everything a second time.

Dear Kaunieti, why leave a pile of garbage? Take it home,” a portal reader reported about the polluter of the park.

As indicated on the website of the Kaunas Marians Regional Park, visitors to the park are prohibited from littering the environment and polluting water bodies; bury garbage and waste.

Persons who have violated the requirements of these rules shall be liable in accordance with the procedure established by the laws and other legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania.

Persons who have caused damage to the protected areas or the values contained in them must compensate the damage in kind as much as possible (restore the original condition of the object or area), in addition, compensate the direct and indirect losses incurred.

When the public interests are violated and the property of natural or legal persons is harmed by the same act, the persons who committed the violation must compensate for the damage caused to the park as well as to the property of natural or legal persons. Losses are determined according to the methodology approved by the institution authorized by the Government.
