In February of this year, in the battle in the direction of Avdijivka, the Russian occupiers managed to defeat an American-made Abrams tank.

The occupation of the village of Berdici, which was confirmed by the commander-in-chief O. Syrskis, allowed the Russians to take Abrams. This was noted by Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military-political observer of the Information Resistance Group, based on the public pages of the so-called “Z-military correspondents”.

“Two BREM-1s took part in the evacuation of the tank at the same time, and Russian propagandists are enjoying the video, making fun dances with tambourines,” the expert writes.

According to Kovalenko, this tank ran over an anti-tank mine.

“If there is no trawl, no one can save from this. More than a dozen drones were then used to finish off the tank. The only effective hit was to the turret mechanism, which caused the ammunition to detonate, but this did not finish off the tank. Even after detonating the ammunition, the Abrams can be evacuated in the shortest possible time to bring into combat condition. Do you remember what happens after the detonation of explosives in Russian tanks?”, the analyst notes.

According to O. Kovalenko, with the presence of a trawl and additional turret protection, this loss could have been avoided.

At the same time, he noted that in 2 months, during which 2 M1A1 “Abrams” were destroyed and 2 were damaged, the occupying forces lost 10 units. T-90M “Proryv” and 5 others were damaged. And these are only officially verified and confirmed losses.
