The head of the country thanked Crown Prince Haakon of Norway for Norway’s significant contribution to the security of Lithuania and the Baltic region and for its participation in the NATO forward combat group.

The President emphasized that the security of the Baltic region and the entire eastern flank of NATO is the security of the entire Alliance. According to the head of the country, both the presence of allied soldiers in the region and the strengthening of air defense are important, therefore the rotary air defense model approved at the Vilnius NATO summit must be implemented.
