The Iauli District Prosecutor’s Office found the Teli district manager and two of her managers guilty of fraudulent financial accounting management and imposed fines on them.
As the prosecutor’s office announced on Tuesday, the Iauli District Court will end the trial with a criminal sentence and also find the accused persons guilty of providing incorrect data on income in order to avoid a tax, the amount of which exceeds EUR 45,000.
According to the prosecutor’s office, this caused a great loss of wealth to the state.
The prosecutor asked for fines to be imposed on the defendants, instead of a free recall, taking into account the fact that during the pre-trial investigation, the persons pretended to commit crimes, for which they deeply regretted, they compensated the state with more than 100,000 EUR.
The prosecutor will impose a fine of more than 110,000 EUR on the defendants.
According to the pre-trial investigation, for more than a year, Minta Mon, engaged in the production and sale of wellness products, paid its employees almost EUR 100,000 in wages not specified in the financial accounting and sold products worth more than EUR 250,000 without accounting documents.
For these crimes, the Penal Code provides for a fine or imprisonment for up to eight years.
During the pre-trial investigation, the Financial Crimes Investigation Service dutifully questioned more than 30 persons, conducted searches, investigated Chinese financial activities, assessed assets owned by the accused, and performed other actions.
