“Everybody tries to come, not to miss the flowering of the lawn, no matter how busy they are.

If one of the family members cannot come, he is taken later, even after the exams, just to see,” the interviewer said about the tradition born in the last year.

Such joy was given to the family by Alina’s brother Artūras. During his work, he could not find time to go to Druskininkai to admire the daffodils, so he decided that they could grow right in his parents’ yard.

True, he started, not only daffodils, but also crocus seedlings, and once he started, he could not stop.

“Crocus is a very small flower, if you plant a hundred or a thousand, you won’t see anything. It takes many thousands to plant to produce results. In the first year, I planted 8 thousand of them, then I added more, now there are 11 thousand of them and 30 thousand daffodils,” said the crocus enthusiast.

The flower lover, who buys crocus bulbs from Holland in spring, not in units, but in pallets, and plants them in autumn, said that he invests in aesthetic beauty, because not everything in this world is measured in money.

According to the interlocutor, the crocus lawn looks most magical during the day, when the sun visits it, until around 5 p.m., and then the plants unfold. It is no wonder that the joy created by such a sea of ​​flowers is felt not only by their planter, his relatives, but also by everyone passing by.

Taking care of a 10-acre area where crocs thrive is not difficult, according to Arthur. After crocuses bloom, you need to wait a month for them to gather strength for next year’s flowering, and then mow them.

When asked how long it took to plant this area with bulbs, the interviewer mentions three days, although his family also helped him.
