Jurgis Kunčinas Public Library of Alytus will give young people indelible cultural impressions and experiences! “From ART’ist to Me(n)talist” – the first festival of its kind in the capital of Dzūkija, dedicated to young curious people and their new discoveries – already on April 19. This time, you are invited to be inspired and experience cultural experiences not in the traditional library spaces, but in the halls of the project partners – the Alytus Cultural Center. It is very important that everyone who comes feels spacious and free.
What can be discovered on the way from artist to mentalist? The educational and creative workshops that will take place during the festival will be characterized by exceptional interactivity and inclusiveness, and will create an opportunity for young people to get to know cultural and artistic processes more closely through active creative activities. These initiatives will include well-known professional artists in the activities, faces well-known to young people will participate in the discussion and concert part: comedian Evaldas Jasaitis, who collected 10,000 for his fans. who even walked all the way to Berlin to donate a euro to Ukraine, and the rapper Pijus Opera, who holds the record for ten hours of non-stop rap improvisation. During different creative educations (Slam creation, learning about history using virtual reality, film script creation workshops, etc.), everyone will be able to touch the knowledge of literary processes, open up to experimentation and creativity and knowledge. We really hope that this festival will be an interesting and new experience for schoolchildren, which will allow them to gain new experiences, get to know each other, discover and try new things, and discover their abilities.
The festival of cultural experiences “From ART’ist to Me(n)talist” is an opportunity to have different lessons and then discuss cultural experiences in class. By the way, all activities of the festival are FREE, so all you need is desire, enthusiasm and your time.
