“With the significant increase in the number of students and lecturers at our academy, we have to look for new organizational solutions. That is why we have assembled a management team that is responsible for the work of our 80 lecturers. This should not only improve the experience of existing students, but also allow us to accept even more people who want to program,” says Julija Rimšelė, founder of Vilnius Coding School.

The structure is unique in the market

According to the founder of Vilnius Coding School, such a structure is unique in the market of programming training. Other schools either don’t have it or don’t actively communicate about it.

“In business, it is completely normal to divide the organization into teams and assign team leaders to lead them, but there is no such structure in the training market. We apply good practices in our school, so we have also adapted this structure so that assignments, planning and other issues are solved much more simply. Managers take care of their assigned team and help them achieve common goals. This will ensure the quality and high level of training,” says J. Rimšelė.

In total, 7 teams have been formed in the academy, whose lecturers are supervised by 8 team leaders. They started their new duties on March 6.

Managers are experts in their fields

The new team leaders are not specialists hired from outside, but lecturers who have worked for Vilnius Coding School for a long time and have the best reviews.

They lead the school’s 7 core teams: Data Analytics, Data Science, Automated Testing, Web Development, Web Design, JAVA/C#, and Cyber Security.

The data analytics team is led by Vilius Bikneris and Gintarė Paškauskaitė

“My approach to modern teaching coincides with that of Vilnius Coding School – we aim to work closely with students, use advanced teaching methods and constantly seek and provide feedback.” These are the most important aspects that allow students to develop quickly and start the career path of their dreams”, says V. Bikneris.

“I have been a lecturer at Kaunas University of Technology for 8 years and a teacher at SMK Higher School for 7 years. My greatest joy and achievement is that I can give people knowledge and help them learn a new field. The new structure of Vilnius Coding School will provide an opportunity to implement more new ideas and help students even more,” says G. Paškauskaitė.

The data science team is led by Egidijus Kamarauskas

“Vilnius Coding School” is like a challenge for me – can I teach another person something complicated. Unlike in the public sector, much more motivated people come to our training, so they are much more demanding of the training. That is why I see the new structure as a way to further raise the quality of my lectures and those of other lecturers”, says E. Kamarauskas.

Before joining Vilnius Coding School, the lecturer had teaching experience in schools and colleges.

Dailius Raščius will lead the automatic testing team

“Vilnius Coding School” is a well-known and respected training school for IT specialists, which provides high-quality training. Therefore, it was a great honor for me to contribute to this school as a lecturer. Now I will try to make the journey in this organization easier for others. I believe that teaching and mentoring is a process of interaction between two parties, which can be very inspiring for both students, teachers and mentors,” says D. Raščius.

The web page development team is headed by Andrius Markevičius, and web page design by Lolita Padegimienė

“All our lecturers are experts and practitioners in their field, and by bringing their different work experiences, we enrich both students and each other. The common goal of all of us is to constantly improve the quality of training so that students can successfully reach the heights of their career after graduating from Vilnius Coding School”, says A. Markevičius.

“I joined Vilnius Coding School to share my user experience (UX/UI) design experience and contribute to community development. I was inspired by the cooperation of “Vilnius Coding School” colleagues and other lecturers, the opportunity to work with active, sincere people. “Vilnius Coding School creates a favorable environment not only for training, but also for career development – and this new structure is proof of that,” says L. Padegimienė.

The JAVA/C# team is headed by Zigmantas Račkauskas

Z. Račkauskas has 7 years of experience as a lecturer, and has been a mentor of lecturers for five years. 10 years of professional programming in C#. However, he sees “Vilnius Coding School” as an opportunity to continue growing himself.

“While participating in the “Vilnius Coding School” project, I appreciate the fact that the lecturers have a direct influence on many aspects – from process management to the taught material. In this way, we can not only ensure the quality of training and pass on our experience, but we also improve ourselves with each course”, says Z. Račkauskas.

The cyber security team is headed by Dovydas Rimeisis

“I want as many people as possible to decide to teach.” The new structure of “Vilnius Coding School” will help to do this, as it will make it easier for lecturers to start – they will provide a specific mentor with whom they can discuss teaching, material and tasks”, says D. Rimeisis.

School helps change careers

“Vilnius Coding School” with the aforementioned teams of lecturers helps students not only get to know the IT field, but also to change their career direction. A special Career Center has been created for this purpose.

“The career center is a unique place where we help school alumni to join the IT labor market and establish themselves in it after training. During career consultations, qualified specialists help to self-assess abilities, prepare resumes and social network LinkedIn account, and simulate job interviews. We cooperate with more than 200 companies with technology or IT departments, so in the Career Center, alumni receive direct help in finding an internship or their first job,” says J. Rimšelė.

Vilnius Coding School training programs are intended for beginners and experienced programmers, graphic designers, analysts, project managers, testers and others. Programs consist of various programming languages - JAVA, PYTHON, JAVASCRIPT, PHP, C# and others. Training is organized not only in groups, but also individually, and is tailored to the real needs of the market. To satisfy the latter, Vilnius Coding School has supplemented the training programs with lectures on the basics of soft skills.
