Billionaires don’t care what to wear? You would have to lay down half of your salary for the legendary Steve Jobs sweater

--

Here, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg revealed to reporters a few years ago that he has a closet full of identical shirts. He even explained that dressing the same every day helps him maintain his mental capacity and ability to make many important decisions at work. It is true that he has been repeatedly criticized in public for his attire in important and visible meetings, but it can be assumed that the fifth richest person in the world would have spit on it.

So what does such a rich man wear? Usually it’s the same gray T-shirt every day, which looks simpler than ordinary. Well, except that they’re all $375 a piece from luxury Italian brand Brunello Cucinelli. Not so cheap.

Apple co-founder Steve Jobs is often portrayed as an absolute example of understated clothing. A black sweater with a high neck, often called “golf” among Lithuanians, blue jeans and white sneakers – what the man wore, probably, during every event where he was caught by the flashes of photographers. This is probably how everyone who knows who Steve Jobs is remembers him.

However, that black and very simple turtleneck sweater is a custom piece by Japanese designer Issey Miyake. The designer, who died just two years ago, made more than a hundred of these sweaters for Steve Jobs. A similar-looking Issey Miyake turtleneck sweater is available for $585.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos may appear to be the most extravagant of the trio simply because his wardrobe consists of this and that more than cotton T-shirts.

In the combinations he wears, you can see both shirts and jackets. Here is the colorful silk shirt of the luxury brand “Casablanca”, in which he spent time, and later published the photo on his social networks, was sold at designer outlets for 1300 dollars, well, the jackets with which the man was spotted often cost several thousand: four , five and so on. True, they usually look quite simple.

Rumors that the world’s rich don’t care what to wear seem to be greatly exaggerated. Similar to those about genius millionaires who seemed so dumb in school that they even got kicked out and didn’t go to school at all and had no education.

Admittedly, one can probably assume that these points are placed in different places when looking for acceptable clothing than those who want to look rich. Other priorities. But this does not mean that they are extremely cheap. Or that those people don’t care what to wear. Seems to care, just not necessarily for the same reasons.
