“Today, few people say that life will be beautiful. That he is like that – yes, but that he will be – no. This album is a collection of various stages of life that lead to a beautiful future, and although we cannot predict it, we can believe in it,” says the creator of the young generation.

In the album, V. Popendikis invites his listeners to take an intimate walk through his life – significant and memorable moments: the charm of the first meeting, when he felt that he had met the one with whom he would want to spend the rest of his life; sentiments for the city where he grew up; the beginning of a new life and how everything eventually led to the same person who, despite the different stages and changes, still stayed by his side.

“I would really like the listener to try to imagine himself or allow himself to go to the emotion that the song suggests, no matter where he is in his life now. This album has quite a lot of my own memories, a lot of cities, so I feel like it can be a soundtrack to memories for some people.”

The title song of the album “Life will be beautiful” is the last song of the album, full of light energy, following Vili’s typical gentle works “Šiurpuluikai”, “Kokia tu grasi”, “Klaipėdos vejuota”, “Aš tavo”, “You must feel that way when loves”, “Under the sky of Vilnius”.

Collaborated with a well-known Latvian producer

According to V. Popendikis, the album will be released this spring, when the right circumstances finally arose, which the music creator had been dreaming about before.

“Releasing an album is a long and complicated process that requires the involvement of many people, from the recording specialist, the arranger, the musicians, to those who mix the sound and make corrections. In order to take this step firmly and qualitatively, both comprehensive creative and financial preparation were required. I have been improving myself as a music producer for many years, so I not only wrote music and lyrics, but I also produced and recorded some of the works myself,” reveals the artist.

The well-known Latvian music producer and creator Janis Jačmenkins, who worked with the Eurovision star Aminata and the most popular Estonian artists, contributed to the creation of the album: “He felt me and the way I want to sound, for that I am grateful to him. I also thank those who contributed to the album Dominyks for the wonderful guitar parts, Edvins, Dovila for helping with the organization, Vilgails, Matas and Gabrielis for the wonderful cover, which I am very proud of.”

Beloved is not only a muse, but also a creative partner

The album “Life will be beautiful” would not exist without Paulina Paukštaitytė, the fiancee of V. Popendikis, who became not only a muse for the artist’s music, but also actively involved in creative workshops.

“We did and do everything together – from creative inspiration, first memories, hurts that we had when we were 16-17 years old, to now, when we sit together in the studio, write songs, create arrangements, record backing vocals. By the way, some may hear/recognize Paulina’s voice in the songs, although it is rarely heard here,” smiles the performer.

Vilius and Paulina support each other in every step of their careers, but it took time and a certain sense of balance for the couple to work together smoothly.

“Working as a couple and at home seem to intertwine, so it was difficult to separate in music. The path of a beginner artist is difficult, full of various emotions, ups and downs, creative suffering, confusion, and the desire to prove one’s worth. It took time for us to find a balance between our musical paths – the goal was always to shine together, I believe that we are finally able to do that”, V. Popendikis is happy.
