The property dates back to the 14th century and is located in the small village of Clay Coton near Daventry, Northamptonshire. 20th century the church fell into disuse in the 1950s and was converted into a house in the 2000s.

The church was intended to be demolished after stopping regular services, but in 1978 the demolition work was stopped by the king’s order.

Jonathan Lloyd-Ham, of estate agency Fine and Country, says that after the church was converted into a home, there was only one man who lived there, who collected books, and he liked that it was a very peaceful place to live, very peaceful, surrounded by open fields and greenery.

The parish trustees still look after this place, and a public road leads through the cemetery.

The new owner of the facility will have to allow people to enter the cemetery. True, such visitors are very rare.

“I haven’t seen anything here, and the owner rarely saw anything in this place either,” said the agent.

The real estate agent added that when he first saw the building, he didn’t know what to think of it.

“I have never seen anything like it before. I have been selling houses for 40 years and this is the first church conversion of this quality and scale,” he said.
