Poland put its fighter jets into the air after Russian missiles attacked Ukrainian territory on the night of Friday to Saturday, April 27. This is reported by UNN, based on a post by the operational command of the Polish army on the X social network.

The ministry said in a statement that Polish planes were up and operating in the skies in the southeastern part of the country. In light of this, the military urged local residents to be aware of the possibility of “increased noise levels” in these regions.

The Polish military added that “all necessary procedures have been initiated to ensure the security of our airspace” and the situation is being monitored.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that one of the Russian missiles launched on Saturday night during the aggressor’s mass strike against Ukraine fell 15 kilometers from the Polish border.

In response to this, D. Tusk stated that he plans to meet with the president as soon as possible to understand his intentions.
