The film, according to Delphi sources, was supposed to be released in February and its premiere was postponed only because of Navalny’s murder. The material collected by FBK only allows us to look at the catastrophe that happened through a crack in the curtains. Shouldn’t it be worth telling in more detail about what happened in Russia at the end of the last century, how the last decade differs from the same period as in Latvia, and why the current predatory policy of V. Putin should be considered a direct result of the events in Russia at that time.

When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, both Latvia and Russia entered a new era of democracy and market reforms. However, the results of subsequent events in both cases turned out to be radically different. Ten years later, Latvia became a democratic country with a market economy, while Russia became a tyranny that is currently continuing its war of aggression against Ukraine. When answering the question of why and how the current Russian regime was formed, it is necessary to mention three catastrophes, political, economic and social.
