According to the Daily Mail, in 2022 On February 4, Venezuelan JV Perez was officially recognized as the oldest person in the world and entered into the Guinness Book of Records. He was then 112 years and 253 days old.

“Juan Vicente Perez Mora passed away at the age of 114,” Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced on the X platform.

Juan Vicente Perez Mora was the father of 11 children, had 41 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. A few years ago, he named the secret of his long life: “hard work, going to bed early and faith in God.”

JVPerez Mora was born in 1909. May 27 in the town of El Cobre in the Andean state of Tachira and was the ninth of ten children.

“At the age of five, he started working in agriculture with his father and brothers, helping to harvest sugar cane and coffee,” the 2022 Guinness World Records announcement said.

JVPerez later became a sheriff and was responsible for resolving land and family disputes, but at the same time continued to work in agriculture.
