The average price of electricity on the stock exchange in Lithuania fell for the second month in a row in March, and at the same time it was lower than a year ago during the same period.

During the third month of this year, the average price of electricity on the stock exchange in our country was less than seven euro cents per kilowatt hour (6.818 euro cents) and was the lowest since April last year.

Compared to February, the average price on the exchange fell by six percent, and compared to March 2023, it shrank by a little more than twenty-two percent. Meanwhile, compared to the third month of 2022, the price of electricity on the stock exchange in Lithuania fell even 2.5 times.

As of tomorrow, the average price of electricity on the stock exchange in our country, as in other Baltic countries, is slightly more than seven cents (7.112 euro cents per kilowatt hour) and is twice as high as it was today.

Among the countries of the European Union, the lowest electricity price on Wednesday will be in Portugal (0.891 euro cents per kilowatt hour) and Spain (0.903 euro cents). In Sweden, the average electricity price will be 4.562 euro cents per kilowatt hour, in Finland – 4.478 euro cents, in Denmark – 8.118 euro cents, in neighboring Poland – 8.77 euro cents, and in Germany it will reach 8.737 euro cents per kilowatt hour.
