The sixth and possibly final game of the series will be played Friday night in Dallas.

Luka Dončičius, who came to a conclusion after the dramatic loss of the fourth match of the series, was difficult to stop this time.

In 39 minutes, the Slovenian scored as many as 35 points (12/18 doubles, 2/8 triples, 5/5 penalties), made 10 assists and had 7 rebounds.

This is Luka’s most productive game in this year’s playoffs so far, although the Slovenian did not play in the last five minutes due to the huge gap between the teams.

The 25-year-old Mavericks forward is still plagued by knee pain and illness. As the basketball player himself stated, he has been ill for a week, and if these were regular season meetings, the Slovenian would probably not play.

“The playoffs give you an adrenaline rush. When you start playing, you want to do everything for the team to win, so that’s what I did,” said L. Dončičius after the match.

The teams were close only in the first half, in which neither team gained more than a 4-point lead, and the Mavericks won the half by a minimum of 25-24.

In the second quarter, the guests from Dallas were boosted by three three-pointers by the German Maxi Kleber, and the Mavericks, who ran 13-2 before the long break, pulled away 56-44.

L. Dončičius shone the brightest in the third quarter. At one point, he scored 9 points in a row, scored a total of 14 points in the quarter, and after a 14-0 run, the Mavs began to crush their opponents (73-50).

The Clippers missed 15 straight 3-pointers at one point and didn’t make a field goal for more than six minutes, but tried to rally late in the third quarter when they went on an 11-2 run to pull within 69-85.

However, Mavs’ Australian Josh Green ended the half with a three-pointer with a foul, and after a strong start to the fourth quarter, the visitors built up a 30-point lead and finished the game calmly.

The loss by that margin is the Clippers’ biggest loss in playoff history.

The Clippers were without Kawhi Leonard again due to injury, and other leaders of this team were reminded of their shadows. Paul George, James Harden and Russell Westbrook combined for just 28 points, shooting just 8-of-36 from the field and committing 8 fouls.

The winners of this pair will play in the semifinals of the Western Conference against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 4-0 in the first round with Jonas Valančiūnas.

Clippers: Paul George (4/13, 11 rebounds) and Ivica Zubac (7/8 doubles) 15 each, Norman Powell 14, Terance Mann and Bones Hyland 11 each.

Mavericks: Luka Dončić 35 (12/18 doubles, 2/8 triples, 10 assists, 7 rebounds), Maxi Kleber 15 (5/7 triples), Kyrie Irving (1/7 triples, 6 assists) and Jaden Hardy 14 each, Derrick Jones and Derek Lively (7 rebounds) 12 each.
