In Serbia, the manager of the Crvena Zvezda club in Belgrade was in trouble Nebojša Ilicius.

The 56-year-old former basketball player was arrested for drunk driving. It is reported that the Serb did not allow himself to be arrested – two police crews took part in the chase.

N. Iličius has held the position of manager in the Belgrade club since 2001, in 2010 he accepted a similar position in the Serbian national team. In 2017-2019, he was the sports director of Crvena Zvezda.

The Serb has represented Crvena Zvezda for almost his entire career. As a basketball player, he represented the team from 1985 to 1997 with a two-year break in Spain.

N. Iličius was the most promising basketball player of his generation, who represented all youth national teams of Yugoslavia. In the 1987 19-year-old World Cup, he averaged 15.3 points in a team coached by Svetislav Pešičius and represented by Vlade Divac and Toni Kukočius.

In 1992, he broke the Yugoslavia championship record with 71 points in one game.
