Onuralps Bitimas rejected PAO’s offer before moving to the NBA.
Onuralps Bitimas, who earned a contract with Chicago Bulls, rejected several offers from Euroleague clubs, among which was Panathinaikos of Athens, because of his dream to play in the NBA.
“In terms of money, I had much better offers, I could have played in the Euroleague, but my main goal was the NBA,” Bitimas told “sdna.gr”. – I had conversations with PAO and coach Ergin Ataman. I worked with him in Istanbul “Anadolu Efes” and the Turkish national team.
Ataman is one of the best coaches in Europe, and Panathinaikos is one of the best clubs in the history of the Old Continent.”
Penalties are thrown this season
“I am honored that Panathinaikos wanted me,” continued Bitimas. “I don’t know what the future holds, but right now my focus is on the Chicago Bulls and the NBA.”
Finally, the 25-year-old forward added that he has no doubt that PAO will reach the final four of the Euroleague this year.
Bitimas played 18 games in the NBA this season and averaged 3.9 points per 12 minutes.
