Russia mistakenly dropped a drone on its kindergarten

--

The drone did not explode, and 47 children and 30 kindergarten workers were evacuated from the area by security forces.

Not the first incident

This year, there have been a number of reported incidents of the Russian military accidentally dropping missiles on its territory. Astra reported that in March and April alone, Moscow forces mistakenly dropped at least 21 aerial bombs from their planes on Russian or annexed Ukrainian territories.

Portal “The Moscow Times” reported that since the beginning of spring, Russian planes have dropped at least 25 aerial bombs on its own and annexed Ukrainian territories. According to the portal, there have been 33 such incidents since the beginning of January.

The Russian authorities generally admit that they have dropped various munitions on their territory. Of course, they talk about this quite delicately. Referring to such incidents, the Kremlin says there was a “misfire,” Astra said.

The explosions shook

On May 4, reports from open intelligence sources suggested that the munitions had been mistakenly dropped on Belgorod by a Russian plane.

“The bomb fell directly on a residential area and exploded,” Anton Herashchenko, a former adviser to Ukraine’s Interior Ministry, said of the incident.

Also in early May, a Russian plane dropped a bomb on the village of Vorontsovka in Russia’s Krasnodar Territory, Astra reported.
