“Road maintenance” received 11% more revenue last year

“Road maintenance” received 125.7 million euros last year. EUR revenue – 11% more than last year (2022 – EUR 113.6 million), the company announced on Thursday.

The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) in 2023 amounted to 16.5 million EUR and was 1.5 times higher than last year (EUR 6.6 million).

“Last year was a real challenge for the company, as road surfaces of state importance require more and more repair work in the warm season, and in winter, an emergency situation on the roads was repeatedly announced due to the circumstances”, Audrius Vaitkus, general director of Road Maintenance, said in the report.

According to him, last year during the winter season, the company started applying updated road maintenance solutions. Allegedly, new reaction scenarios were identified, operational improvements were made, and more attention was paid to preventive works.

According to A. Vaitkaus, the second 2023 half is exceptional as a period of searching for more effective solutions, great attention was focused on improving traffic safety.

According to him, more than 20 information systems were installed to increase operational efficiency, as a result of which 63% more various road violations were resolved last year than in 2022.

In a statement, the company claims that it will be able to cancel the accumulated past loss and pay dividends to the state already next year.

The company last paid dividends (almost EUR 6 million) for 2020. In subsequent years, it did not pay dividends because its operations were unprofitable.
