“About six drones were shot down, but several fell in the area of ​​the oil base. As a result, a fire broke out and several tanks were damaged,” the report said, citing the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region.

It is noted that 62 firefighters and 20 technical units are fighting the fire.

8 people were injured in the Belgorod region

At least eight people were injured in an overnight attack in and around the western Russian city of Belgorod, the governor of the region near the Ukrainian border, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said on Thursday.

“The city of Belgorod and the district of Belgorod suffered an aerial attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Residential apartment buildings and cars were hit directly,” V. Gladkov said on the Telegram messaging app, adding that “according to preliminary data, eight people were injured: seven adults and one child.”

According to the governor, five people with shrapnel wounds, including an 11-year-old girl who was wounded in the foot, were taken to the hospital, and the other three victims were treated at the scene.

During the attack, 19 apartment buildings, one private house and 37 cars were damaged in the city of Belgorod, V. Gladkov said, and four houses and three cars were damaged in the nearby settlement of Dubovoye.

Belgorod, near the Ukrainian border, is a frequent target of drones, with attacks blamed on Ukraine. In one such attack, six people were killed and 35 were injured.

Recently, Ukraine has intensified its attacks on Russian territory, mainly targeting energy facilities.
