The Met Gala, a charity event traditionally held to mark the opening of the annual fashion show, raises funds for the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute. This year’s Met Gala was dedicated to the Costume Institute’s new exhibit, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion (Lit. – Sleeping Beauties: Reviving Fashion).

This time, the brightest stars became the hosts of the prestigious evening: singers Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, rapper Bad Bunny and actor Chris Hemsworth. They were joined by the celebrities who “hosted” the fashion party last year – Penelope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer, Dua Lipa and, of course, Anna Wintour, editor of the fashion magazine “Vogue”, who has been organizing this event since 1995.

Although some call the Met Gala the party of the year, others call it the Oscars of the US East Coast, there is no doubt about one thing – it is the most anticipated fashion fiesta for the stars. As every year, the cream of the world’s elite flocked to it, demonstrating fabulous style.

And they didn’t have to look far for inspiration. The dress code of the most anticipated fashion evening this time was inspired by JGBallard’s short story “The Garden of Time” published in 1962. Therefore, it is not surprising that there were more fairy-tale and nature-inspired images on the Met Gala red carpet this time than ever before.

Singer Dua Lipa also appeared on the Met Gala red carpet with an extravagant look. The performer wore a black and white corset and her skirt exposed her legs appropriately. The look was completed with a feather boa, see-through gloves and sparkling crystal chains on the hips.
