The income of Achema Gas Trade, the secondary gas trading company of the Jonava fertilizer factory “Achema” in 2023. fell by 82.6% from 670 million up to 116.7 million EUR, net profit shrank from EUR 9.57 million. up to 5.8 million Eur.

The decrease, according to the company’s announcement, was due to a sharp drop in the indices of the energy resource exchange, according to which the company both buys and sells natural gas and electricity.

Last year, the company sold, combined, approximately 2.9 TWh of natural gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG). And, as it is written in the report, it fulfilled the set goals for natural gas and LNG sales, maintaining its current market share and continuing successful and long-term cooperation with one of the largest natural gas consumers in Lithuania.

The year 2023 was the first full year when Achema Gas Trade UAB traded renewable electricity, which was produced by the company Renerga of the Achemos group.

During 2023 About 164 GWh of renewable electricity was supplied to companies of the Achema Gas Trade concern, external customers and the Nord Pool exchange.
