During the joint measure, the officers found 8 violations on the Lithuanian-Latvian border

The measures were implemented in two sections of the Lithuanian-Latvian border – on the road Klaipėda-Liepoja and on the road Skuodas-Plungė in the Skuoda district.

On 05/08/2024, 75 vehicles and persons traveling in them were checked on the Klaipėda-Liepija road. Two drunk drivers were identified, one of them did not have a license to drive. Violators were issued administrative offense protocols in accordance with Article 422 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania. 5th and Article 424 of the ANC of the Republic of Lithuania. 6th 95 vehicles were stopped on the territory of the Republic of Latvia, one of the checked persons was traveling without travel documents.

On 05/09/2024, officers checked 64 vehicles on the same road, and found two violations – one Latvian citizen did not present a valid driver’s license, another person was driving recklessly. Administrative proceedings have been initiated in accordance with Article 422 of the ANC of the Republic of Lithuania. on the 5th and Article 417 of the ANC of the Republic of Lithuania. on the 7th

In the Skuodas district, on the Skuodas-Plungė road, during a joint measure on 05/08/2024, the officers checked 101 vehicles, found two violations of the KET – they caught a drunken cyclist, who was issued a report according to Article 428 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania. 7, and the driver whose vehicle is not insured with compulsory insurance (LR ANK, Article 415, d. 1). On 05/09/2024, 34 vehicles were inspected during the patrol carried out there, and one KET violation was found (according to Article 417 of the LR ANK, d. 7)

Joint measures of officials on the Lithuanian-Latvian border are prepared continuously, at least once a quarter. Their purpose is to ensure public order, safe traffic, prevent illegal circulation of excise goods and illegal migration.
