Traditional International Swimming Competition Alytus Grand Prix

On May 3-4, the traditional international swimming competition Alytus Grad Prix, which took place in the pool of the Alytus Sports and Recreation Center, attracted almost 400 participants from the cities and towns of Lithuania and Latvia to Alytus. The vice-mayor of Alytus Jurgita Šukevičienė gave a word of congratulation to the athletes and wished them a successful start. The water in the pool was boiling with the number of athletes who gathered to fight for medals, sponsors’ prizes or just want to test themselves.

Athletes competed in 7 age groups, and the winners and prize-winners were awarded with specially designed medals and sponsors’ prizes. 80 people from Aly took part in the fight for medals. The absolute best swimmer at the Alytus Grand Prix according to the World Aquatics scoring system was Patricija AŠKELOVIČ, a representative of the Sostines sports center.

The absolute best swimmer of the Alytus Grand Prix became Mykolas TUSKENIS, the representative of the Sostines sports center.
