Today at around 8:00 a.m. a message was received that at around 7:50 a.m. an unknown man who entered the Alytus Putinai Gymnasium attacked a schoolgirl, tried to marry her, but he failed to do so. He ran away from the scene, but was arrested by police officers.

Same message at around 8:30am. was also received from Šaltinė pro-gymnasium. The message sounded very similar. Cameras captured a man who matched the arrested man. At that time, he was already detained and, possibly due to mental disorders, was brought to the Alytus hospital. The student of Putinai Gymnasium also needed medical help, who felt shocked and was somewhat confused due to the incident.

Both attacked schoolgirls are 16 years old. Both educational institutions and the police are investigating the circumstances of the incident. Administrative proceedings have been initiated against a person for a violation of public order.
