Reader question: My mother has lived alone in another town, in an old apartment building with 4 rooms, where I grew up, for 46 years. Being 84 years old, she obviously doesn’t have a car. However, my sister and my children visit her regularly. There was a case where my sister was attacked by a man from another stairwell for parking her car even though she doesn’t live here. How do you feel when you can’t come to your mother? The residents themselves have more than one car, some apartments have 4. The lot is not rubber, not everyone can fit. So the neighbors began to raise the question of the need to mark parking spaces in order to have permanent ones. I don’t want to agree with that because, in my opinion, everyone has equal rights to the pitch. Maybe a person doesn’t have a car now, but in a year he will – won’t he already own the place? Or will I live there myself? Or maybe we will sell or rent the apartment, and the space will be needed? How would you recommend resolving this dispute? Are those who want to reserve seats for themselves by displacing others right? Thank you in advance for your reply.”
